About ECUA

Because there are no community colleges north of Interstate 80 in Pennsyvlania,these populace of these predominately rural areas lack the advantages that a metropolitan community college offers.

To assist in meeting the demand of a community college option, the Education Consortium of the Upper Allegheny was formed. The ECUA will become a central resource allowing people the access, affordability and articulation that a community college can offer.

ECUA Mission

• Work with existing educational institutions and organizations to develop a system leading to greater accessibility for our students at affordable rates.

• Develop a reliable single source of information on regional educational and training opportunities.

• Provide the leadership to assist students into and advancing through the various offerings that will be made available.

• Utilize the distance education infrastructure in the region to its fullest potential.
