SafeLand & OSHA 10 Certification (14 Hours)
The two industry standards for Safety Training for the Gas Industry are SafeLand Certification and OSHA 10 General Industry Certification. With these two certifications, you meet the basic safety training requirements of virtually every company in the industry. This course combines the SafeLand program with an OSHA 10 program allowing you to earn both certifications in one convenient class. The topics covered in each program are very similar, however they each have their own unique requirements. By lengthening the course by 4 hours, we are able to complete both certifications in 1 ½ days rather than two full 10 hour days.
The PEC Basic-SafeGulf/SafeLand Orientation safety awareness course was designed to take the place of multiple Operator orientations and to give each student a general idea of life and safety issues in the oil and gas industry (upstream, downstream, onshore or offshore). This program meets API RP 75 & API RP T-1 requirements and provides a basic awareness of certain general safety information that an employee should know before entering a company facility and while performing their assigned work duties. Over 25 of the leading oil and gas operators accept this orientation as it meets their requirements.
The OSHA 10-hour General Industry course provides entry level workers with broad awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a general industry site. The training covers a variety of safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a work site. OSHA recommends this training as an orientation to occupational safety and health.
Upon successful completion of this 1½ day course, each student is issued a SafeLand Picture ID with a unique barcode and an OSHA 10 card. SafeLand Certification information will also be stored in a national database. Course Fee: $325 per person (group discounts are available, call for details)
